 We invite you to the Winter Camp for International Students and PhD Students:

Interdisciplinarity in research – Winter Camp at NCU

February 20^th-24^th, 2023

• 1 week ONLINE of learning, discovering and spending time together in an international student group
• ONLINE classes: synchronous and asynchronous
• classes conducted in English by the professional staff of many departments of the NCU in Toruń
• interesting curriculum in three specialist modules to choose from
• specialist classes in small groups, plus Polish culture classes for all participants
• attractive program ONLINE in English
• certificate of completion of the course and 3 ECTS points

The participation is completely FREE OF CHARGE, financed by NAWA funds.

 Interdisciplinarity in research – Winter Camp at NCU is a 1-week Winter school for foreign students and foreign PhD students conducted in English in the form of ONLINE learning, with participants divided into 3 groups in terms of participation in specialist modules and a joint cultural program.

ONLINE formula

1. specialist classes
• synchronous classes  |  10 academic hrs
• asynchronous classes  |  10 academic hrs
2. cultural module classes Selected aspects of Polish culture  |  10 academic hrs
3. Poland as a country of attractive educational opportunities  |  6 academic hrs

3 specialist modules to choose from

Candidates are enrolled in one of the three specialist modules related to their interests and field of study:

• HUMANITIES (e.g. for students of History, Conservation of Monuments, History of Art, Theology, Cultural Studies, Fine Arts, Philology)
• SOCIAL SCIENCES (e.g. for students of Law, Administration, Economy, Management, Political Science, International Relations, Sociology, Psychology, Socio-Economic Geography, Internal Security)
• EXACT AND NATURAL SCIENCES (e.g. for students of Chemistry, Physics, Astronomy, Mathematics, Computer Science, Geography, Biology, Veterinary Science).

Every participant takes part in one of the three modules – academic classes conducted by specialists in a given field.

 

ECTS points and certificate

After completing the Winter Camp, the participant will receive a certificate and 3 ECTS credit points.

 

Recruitment for the Winter Camp lasts to January 20^th, 2023 (until 23.59 Polish time). The Committee will evaluate the documents and on the basis of this assessment will draw up two shortlists of candidates - the main list and the reserve list. The results of the selection procedure will be announced by e-mail by January 25^th, 2023.
